Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941. He was the son of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. Cheney moved into Casper, Wyoming with his family when he was 13. He was raised by his father who was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and directed the soil conservation district in Casper.
